Get Involved in Standards Development

As the appointed SDO by EnterpriseSG, SMF-SDO facilitates the development of national standards – Singapore Standards (SS), Technical References (TR) & Workshop Agreement (WA) – based on requests from industry and government.

SSs and TRs are developed in the form of specifications for materials, products, services, and systems; codes of practice; interoperability requirements; testing methods; management systems; guidelines; and nomenclature.

TRs are issued to address urgent industry needs and are released for trial implementation. Feedback gathered during this period is taken into account during review. A TR may be upgraded to an SS, continue as a TR for further trial use, or be withdrawn.
